Tokyo Revengers is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ken Wakui. It was serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from April 2017 to December 2020, with its chapters collected in 27 tankōbon volumes. The series has been licensed for English language release by Kodansha Comics USA.
The story follows Takemichi Hanagaki, a 25-year-old unemployed slacker who is at rock bottom in his life. He is transported back in time to his middle school years, where he learns that his girlfriend from that time, Hinata Tachibana, was killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang. Determined to prevent her death, Takemichi sets out to climb the ranks of the gang and change the future. Along the way, he meets other members of the gang, including the leader, Mikey, and must confront the reality of his own past actions.
As Takemichi works his way up the ranks of the Tokyo Manji Gang and gets closer to his goal of changing the future, he faces numerous challenges and makes allies and enemies among the members of the gang.
